Our Team
Peter
Peter has degrees in creative writing, philosophy, literature and law, but spent the greater part of his youth following his love of horses and horse racing across the northeast, Midwest and south, as a trainer and driver of harness horses, an announcer, and a broadcaster. Now back in New York and living a second life as a musician, he is raising his 16 and 11-year old children and working on his third album- while using his familiarity with the online dating world (where he met his life partner) to help those looking to connect. He co-founded Wine & Roses with Lux after having heard complaints from numerous friends about the pitfalls of the process. He aims to make the entire experience for the client to be both fun and rewarding.
Lux
With dual degrees in literature and photography, Lux is a master of storytelling that spans verbal and visual. At Wine and Roses she wears several hats, including writing copy to make hearts palpitate, and crafting stunning visuals that showcase clients’ true colors in their best light. A true people person, Lux seeks to make the dating process low-stress and even exciting for clients, while bringing them the results they’ve always dreamed of. Her favorite part of the job is always the satisfaction she gets out of seeing people “graduate” on to healthy and fulfilling relationships.
Amelia
Amelia holds an MFA in creative writing and a Bachelors in Art History. She is a poet–a hopeless romantic! Though the art of metaphors and poetry come in handy when developing rapport with someone new, Amelia also knows that love is a psychological art form. She has spent a good amount of time educating herself on theories pertaining to love and affection by reading texts like All About Love by bell hooks, A General Theory of Love by Thomas Lewis, Knots by RD Laing, Conditions of Love by John Armstrong, and of course the canonical text, The Art of Loving by Eric Fromm. Amelia will work with you on all things related to aesthetic desires, self awareness and help you develop a gift for gab.
Rosetta
Rosetta is a precocious 24-year-old who understands the younger set (perhaps more than she wishes to!). However, her experience in the fields of finance and law make her more than comfortable in dealing with clients of all ages, while the skills as a top collegiate debater have helped her understand both sides of developing relationships.
